Hey, Michael here — co-founder of HitZERØ, husband to Francesca, dad to two teenage boys, and the guy who used to fall asleep reading HeartMath research papers.
Years ago I stumbled across the idea of heart-brain coherence — the simple, beautiful finding that when your heart rhythm becomes smooth and ordered, a lot of people report feeling calmer and clearer. The HeartMath Institute has published decades of studies on it, and it completely changed how I think about music, breathing, and being human.
That research is the reason our Resonance-Frequency Music exists. We layer real instruments over the same gentle frequency ranges (like 7–9 Hz and 528 Hz) that show up again and again in coherence studies — not because we’re claiming to fix anything, but because so many people (myself included) find them deeply soothing to listen to.
When you type how you’re feeling and IAH builds you a custom 10-track playlist, the goal is simple: give you beautiful, intentional sound that meets you exactly where you are — tired, wired, hopeful, heartbroken, whatever.
Some days it feels like a warm hug. Some days it’s the background for a good cry. Some days it’s just really nice music while you fold laundry.
All of those days are okay with us.
The required grown-up note HitZERØ is a creative wellness tool, not medicine or therapy. We’re inspired by heart-brain coherence research, but we don’t diagnose, treat, or guarantee any specific result. If you’re struggling, please reach out to a qualified professional — I still do when I need to.
If you’re curious about the science that lit us up, the HeartMath Institute site is full of free papers and tools: heartmath.org/research
And if you just want to hear what happens when a dad who geeks out on coherence research tries to make the most heartfelt music possible… come make a playlist with us.
